World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

The upgrading of your items is a vital aspect of equipping your character. Upgrades increase item damage and the ability to enchant.

They also provide bonus effects and enhancements. The Blacksmith can also sell them to you.

Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Each recycled item adds a level to the upgrade gauge.

Weapon

When a weapon gets upgraded, it will gain a base damage bonus and an increase in the scaling factor that affects other stats. The weapon may also gain a variety of upgrade components that offer additional features or effects and some even have distinct cosmetic effects. These upgrades can be slotted into armor, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools. Most require that the equipment have an available upgrade slot and meet certain requirements. When a weapon or armor piece features an upgrade component within it, the item upgrader kit can be replaced with another, but the previous upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). Upgrade components can be recovered with the help of a Black-Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool, or using a salvage tool of high-end quality on the item itself.

A weapon can also be upgraded to include a calibration attribute that increases certain stats, such as Weakspot damage or Crit Rate. This is done through the Gear Workbench interaction menu. Based on the tier of the weapon the process can be repeated up to four times.

Once the weapon has reached max upgrade, it can be rebuilt using a variety of different types of upgrades to increase specific stats or to add bonuses and effects. All of these upgrades can be used simultaneously and the effects vary depending on how rare the weapon is.

There are two Blacksmiths in the game who can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area as well as Smithing Master Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. Both upgrade materials are different: Smithing Stones to modify the damage weapons deal and Somber Smithing Stones to modify the standard weapons.

In general, it is recommended to increase the damage of your weapon first, followed by armour defense, and then the other secondary stats that are required by your build. Trinket

This trinket, at the moment level, boosts the health gained by drinking potions of healing and wells of life by X% and grants mind sight on enemies within the Y tile. This does not stack with the Heightened Senses.

Skull Cavern is where you will find Trinkets after completing the Mastery Cave. You can find them after defeating Monsters, and in chests and crates. They aren't found in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.

When you have a trinket that needs to be upgraded, place it in the Anvil to do so. This will create an unpredictable effect on the trinket either prolonging its life or strengthening its effects. You can reorge the Trinket as many times as you want however it will always be able to produce a new effect.

You can upgrade your Trinkets at the Alchemy Station by placing them into the Magical Catalyst. This will cost you 6 energy and increase the trinket's power by only a tiny amount.
